How do I find equipment for sale?
- Click the Equipment For Sale link and select a category OR
- Enter your search criteria in the search box at the top of any page; for search help click here.
Tell me about CAE Online's equipment pricing.
Sellers determine their own asking prices.
What does it mean when "Inquire" is in the price field?
This typically occurs when CAE Online has many sellers who have the same make and model item to sell… for example a K&S 4124 bonder. Rather than listing the same item many times on our web site, CAE Online lists it once (and indicates how many sellers have the item) and "inquire" is posted in the pricing field. If a buyer indicates interest in such an item, CAE Online will put the buyer in direct contact with each seller, so the seller can quote them directly on their specific system.
Why do some sellers put "Offer" in the price field?
Although, CAE Online is able to help any seller determine the value of their equipment, many choose to put "Offer" as their price - their strategy is to avoid scaring a buyer away due to a pricing concern and to have an open dialog about pricing with buyers who have interest in their equipment.
What if it is better for me to Trade rather than buy equipment?
CAE Online can arrange a trade for you. With more equipment available than any other source, CAE Online is in the best position to help you conduct a trade for your equipment. If buying and selling is not the best option for you, let our salespeople know. Contact them at sales.web@caeonline.com and we will provide a customized solution for you.

We will be happy to help you determine the demand for your equipment and its value. CAE Online has an extensive 14 year database including historical activity and selling values of most semiconductor manufacturing and test equipment. Please contact our listings team at listings.web@caeonline.com.
What if I need to sell some or all of my equipment immediately?
Not only does CAE Online purchase equipment, if you do not have the time to locate buyers that will pay maximum market value for your equipment, we can help. CAE Online not only purchases equipment, we have a network of investors who purchase equipment in "bulk lots". These investors pay in cash and make purchasing/investment commitments quickly. Whether it is one surplus item, a group of surplus equipment, an entire warehouse, a line or a fab, CAE Online can provide an effective and efficient turn-key solution to you.
What if my equipment doesn't sell immediately or I do not get any immediate inquiries?
If you do not receive any inquiries on your item, we suggest that you do not delete it. To gain interest in your item, we suggest you try to: lower the price, add a price, or add to the description (i.e. more details, vintage, condition, etc.). CAE Online's systems are setup so that when these details are changed or added, your item is automatically remarketed to our database of buyers.

Why do you have different counts for the same equipment? OR Why does one page say that you have 1458 Bonders for sale but another page says there are only 768?
We show counts in three different places/ways:
1. On our Equipment For Sale and Equipment Wanted pages the number immediately following each category name is the number of unique pieces of equipment available for sale or wanted in that category. For example, if the category name "Box Coaters" on the Equipment For Sale page is followed by "(19)" then there are 19 unique Box Coaters available for sale.

2. On the page showing listings for a particular category the number of "listings" is the number of unique make and model (each with its own description) items available. Often, CAE Online has many sellers who have the same make and model item to sell. Instead of listing the same item many times on our web site, we list it once and indicate how many actual items are available. For example, if the page displaying all Box Coaters machines for sale indicates that there are "17 listings found" then that means there are 17 different types of Box Coaters available for sale. On this page, each row in the table is a unique type of item.

3. Sometimes a quantity precedes an equipment description. This is the number of unique pieces of equipment available for sale or wanted that match that description. For example, if a description of a Box Coater for sale is preceded by "(Qty 3)" then there are 3 physical Box Coaters for sale matching that exact description. When you inquire on this description your inquiry is forwarded to each owner of the 3 pieces of equipment; this might be 1, 2, or 3 different owners. Listings without a quantity are for a single piece of equipment.

- If you are a Buyer, click here.
- If you are a Seller, click here.
How is CAE Online different from other classified ad and auction services?
CAE Online is a full service marketplace.
- Our service is not "post and hope", it proactively markets your equipment and requirements. Sellers, learn more. Buyers, learn more.
- Systems do analysis and matching and proactively identify compatible buyers/sellers.
- Our systems put buyers and sellers in direct contact, which has these benefits:
* Reduction of risk: Buyers and sellers are able to communicate directly in order to determine if what the seller has is what the buyers needs. Inspections can be made and equipment carefully and thoroughly evaluated.
* Clear visibility: It is difficult for buyers to know how many sellers and systems are really on the market if they are not able to identify and interact directly with the equipment owner; this can lead to a perception of greater availability on the market and sometimes even result in a buyer making more than one offer on the same piece of equipment (in effect bidding against themselves on the same piece of equipment through different brokers / resellers). Sellers can also be misled when not interacting directly with a buyer; they may have the perception of several buyers for their item, when the fact is that several brokers / resellers are all inquiring for the same one buyer.
* Best price: When buyers and sellers interact directly, they avoid significant mark-ups on equipment from resellers and are able to achieve the truest market value for the transaction. Dealing direct is almost always the most cost effective method.
- There is no charge to list equipment
- When sellers make price reductions of 25% or more on equipment they have listed for sale our systems automatically remarket the items to all potential buyers.
- We put buyers and sellers in direct contact, immediately.
- We follow up with buyers and sellers and assist in the sales process in any way required.
- We can assist with services related to the purchase and sale of equipment.
- We can bridge payment terms (by financing them for you) to accommodate buyers and sellers.
Why use CAE over all online auctions (ie. eBAY)?
- We put you in direct contact with the seller
- No bidding wars against anonymous buyers
- No wait time for a purchase
- All information is open and available to you
- Buyers and sellers need to know "who", "what", and "where."
* WHO needs equipment or has it for sale
* WHAT equipment is for sale or wanted
* WHERE equipment is located
CAE Online provides this information accurately; other methods don't.
- Buyers and sellers need to have control over "when" and "how." CAE Online puts buyers and sellers in direct contact which allows you to conduct business on your own platform, under your own rules using your company's established guidelines, policies and procedures; other methods force you into using their platform for conducting a transaction.
