Viewing Equipment by Category
1. Click on either the Equipment For Sale or Equipment Wanted link in the left-hand menu.
2. Click on an equipment category from the list provided.
3. Browse individual equipment descriptions using the navigation at the top and bottom of each page.
4. Click on any equipment description to submit an inquiry about that item.
Narrowing Equipment by Manufacturer or Type
There are two methods to narrow a category of equipment descriptions to a particular manufacturer or type:
- Click on a manufacturer or type link from the left-hand menu.
- Choose a manufacturer or type from the Narrow Results by Manufacturer/Type drop-down box. This box is located above all equipment descriptions.
Finding Equipment by Searching
To find equipment using keywords use the search box at the top right of any page. Detail instructions for using our search feature are here.

Keyword Search
Enter one or more keywords, select "Equipment For Sale" or "Equipment Wanted", and click the "Search" button. CAE Online will scan through thousands of equipment listings and return the matching results.
Narrowing the Search
If your search returns too many results, try narrowing your search by entering more than one keyword. Remember, keywords can be any combination of equipment category, manufacturer, model and even descriptive words.
For example, searching for bonder may return hundreds of matches, whereas K&S bonder will return significantly less, and a search for a specific make/model of equipment, such as hughes 2460 will most likely return exactly what you are looking for.
Search Tip - Whole Words, Partial Words, Exact Matches
When performing a search, CAE Online will search for whole words or portions of words. For example, searching for the keyword auto will find any listings that begin with auto, including automated, automatic, etc.
Use an equal sign (=) to find an exact match. The search =bond will find only listings with the word bond.
Search Tip - Ignored Characters
Many listings contain hyphens (-) and forward slashes (/) which separate model numbers and manufacturer names. These characters are ignored when performing a search. So searching for a hughes 2460-2 or hughes 2460 2 will return the same results.
Search Tip - Wildcard Searches
An asterisk (*) may be used as a wildcard as a replacement for 0 or more characters. Searching for *bond will find any listings with a word ending in "bond," such as Westbond. Using an asterisk at the beginning and end of a keyword, such as *bond*, will find listings containing the word bond, such as Westbond, bonders, bonding, Hybond, etc.
Search Tip - Exact Phrases
Placing search words in quotes will search for a specific phrase. For example, searching for etchers "excellent condition" will find all listings containing the word etchers and the exact phrase "excellent condition."

How To View Equipment Photos
Many of our Equipent For Sale listings include photos of the actual equipment for sale. These listings are indicated by the camera icon:  . To view equipment photos simply click on the camera icon; a new pop-up window will open with one or more thumbnail images of the equipment. To view any of the images at full-size just click the thumbnail image.
Problems Viewing Equipment Photos
Our web site utilizes javascript and pop-up windows to display equipment photos. If either of these is disabled in your web browser you may have problems viewing equipment photos on our site. For optimal use of our site we recommend that you enable javascript and allow pop-ups for our site: http://www.caeonline.com.
Javascript Not Enabled
If javascript is turned off in your browser then the camera icon link will not work; instead, a text link reading, "Images" will be provided. Instead of opening a pop-up window, the link will attempt to open a new window where the equipment photos can be viewed. This window may be blocked by some pop-up blockers.
Also, the thumbnail image links will not work; instead a text link reading "View" will be provided. When the "View" link is clicked, the large photo will change by refreshing the entire page.
Pop-ups Blocked
If you are using a pop-up blocker you may not be able to view equipment photos without enabling pop-ups for our site.
Large photo does not change when clicking on thumbnails / Photo window opens but no images appear
Equipment photos are large files. Depending on your internet connection speed and the traffic on our site, they may require more time to download than other pages in our site. If you continue to have trouble viewing photos please contact us.
How To Add Photos to an Equipment For Sale Listing

Please note that same named and similar version browsers on different operating systems will work equally as well. Also, while many other browsers and earlier versions of these browsers may work for viewing our site, it is recommended to use these and later versions.
Empty Form Fields
All of our web forms include an invisible form field. This field may be visible if you are using a text based browser or an older browser that does not support Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). The field helps to prevent spam on our site and it must remain blank to submit forms.
